Kayla works with adults 18 years and up who are working through a variety of concerns, including but not limited to: trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, borderline personality disorder, OCD, grief, and bipolar disorder. Kayla has a desire to implement the Christian faith into the counseling process if a client desires it. Kayla has a passion for helping people heal and desires to create a comfortable, safe environment for people to come just as they are to process the burdens they carry. Kayla recognizes how brave of a step it is to reach out for help and her approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration. Kayla believes each person’s story is unique and deserves to be heard and understood. Kayla is foundationally trained in DBT (recommended treatment for suicidal ideation and self-harm) and EMDR. Before coming to Tabonuco, Kayla had experience working in a private practice setting. In Kayla’s free time, you will find her with her husband camping in their travel trailer, jet skiing on the lake, and golfing.
