Shea Kaiser

Therapist

Shea works with adults, couples, families, teens, and children ages 10 years and above. She supports clients navigating anxiety, relationship and family conflict, major life transitions, concerns around self-esteem and/or body image, parenting challenges, and other emotional and relational concerns. Shea has a particular interest in perinatal mental health, supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition to parenthood. She is currently working toward her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C).

Shea believes that connection is at the heart of healing, growth, and lasting change. She takes a holistic approach to mental health, considering the connection between mind and body and the ways that relationships, family dynamics, and broader systems influence experiences and well-being. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored

to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.

For individual therapy, Shea uses a holistic approach that draws from multiple evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Experiential Therapy, and somatic and mindfulness-based techniques. For couples therapy and family therapy, Shea uses Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) to help clients understand and break free from patterns resulting in conflict, strengthen emotional connection, and develop more secure relationships. She is pursuing additional training and certification in Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy. She also uses The Gottman Method for couples. Gottman is a research-based approach to couples therapy designed to help partners improve communication, manage conflict, and deepen their emotional connection.

Outside of the therapy office, Shea enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being in nature, cooking, CrossFit, watching sitcoms, and traveling and experiencing other parts of the world.
