Whitney Newton

Whitney Whitney works with clients navigating a wide range of concerns, with a special focus on providing a supportive space for those healing from trauma. She is trained and Certified in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing™ (EMDR), using EMDR to help clients process traumatic experiences and challenging emotions. She deeply honors the courage it takes to seek healing.

Whitney is also an EMDR Consultant in Training™ (CIT) and now offers EMDR consultation for clinicians who have completed basic training and are either pursuing certification or seeking to deepen their EMDR skills. Her approach to consultation is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in real-world clinical experience.

Before joining Tabonuco, Whitney served as a counselor at Hickory Grove Counseling Center

from 2019–2023. Her therapeutic style is warm and collaborative, centered on creating a safe environment and developing individualized treatment plans that support clients’ unique goals.

In her free time, Whitney enjoys reading, spending time with her nephew, and working on

creative projects.
